Île Catalina
L'un des meilleurs spots de snorkeling des Caraïbes — le tombant de Catalina regorge de poissons, et l'île est un sable blanc…
Saona Island is the tour everyone remembers. We leave from Bayahíbe in the morning on a big catamaran — music on board, open bar from the moment we cast off — and cruise for about an hour and a half toward the protected waters of Cotubanamá National Park.
Halfway there, we drop anchor at Piscina Natural: a natural sandbar a kilometer offshore where the water never rises above your waist. You can walk around barefoot on the sandy floor looking for starfish (we put them back). That stop alone is worth the trip.
Then we continue to Mano Juan and the beaches of Saona — fine white sand, leaning palm trees, a Dominican buffet lunch served under the shade, and free time to swim, nap or walk the shore. On the return we swap the catamaran for a fast speedboat, so you’re back at your hotel in the late afternoon.
Best for first-time visitors and families — there’s no hiking, no difficult transfers, and kids love the sandbar. Pickup is included from all major hotels in Bayahíbe, Punta Cana, Uvero Alto and La Romana; pricing shown starts at the Bayahíbe rate and varies slightly by pickup zone.
Here's what's covered by your package and what falls outside it. If any item matters to you and isn't listed, just ask us — we can usually arrange it.
